While I am not the President officially until January 2010, I would like to take a moment to close out 2009. Mike, KG4SRW and the other officers that stepped up and managed ACARC through 2009 deserve a big word of thanks. The club was going through some trying times and Mike took over the lead under difficult circumstances and at times without real good support. Those that stepped in and helped did a great job. The club sponsored what we hope is the beginning of a growing Wilmington Hamfest.

Field Day 2009 was quite enjoyable with excellent publicity. There were several good events on the Battleship and a fun time at the Lighthouse. We had some good net sessions and our meetings moved to the very well equipped Cape Fear Community College North Campus. Thus we are fortunate. December 16 we have our annual Christmas Party at O'Charley's and that will be a celebration of all that we have accomplished and all we look forward to in the New Year. 73 Charlie K4UWH
